I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
